Regietto began with a simple observation: guys might own a few, but they only ever really go for one or two sweaters. The others are rolled up in the back of closet. Maybe they're a bit too stiff, a bit too thin, or just not quite right after the novelty wears off.
The one you keep reaching for is what we wanted to create.
So we decided to concentrate. Men's knitwear, or sweaters meant to be worn every day from a chilly Monday morning commute to a Sunday afternoon on the couch, is the foundation of Regietto. We believe that a category like this should receive proper attention rather than being an afterthought at the conclusion of a collection.
Our Approach
We judge every single sweater in our range on three things, the fabric, the fit and the finish. Our goal is to find suitable cuts that will be easily incorporated into the shoulder region without inhibiting our motions, yarns which won’t become distorted and comfortable to feel, as well as ribbing, stitching, and neckline features that will stay sharp even after repeated washing cycles.
The reason for keeping our range tight is that we don’t want to produce many styles per season. What we do instead is select only a few designs and perfect them till we’re certain that they will be one of those items that you put on automatically.
Knitwear is just our beginning, not our ending. As Regietto expands, we aim to apply the same philosophy to other key elements of the male wardrobe – made in the same fashion, selected in the same fashion.
